Previously, Caroline served as Director of the four-year, $15M XPRIZE Feed the Next Billion, overseeing technical and operational strategy, including risk management, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of novel evaluation frameworks. She also contributed to XPRIZE’s research on circular and resilient food systems, designing competitions that addressed innovations in novel foods, circular water economies, and sustainable food packaging.
Before joining XPRIZE, Caroline worked in international development, governance, and conflict resolution programs across the Middle East and North Africa. Her career has been dedicated to advancing human rights, promoting civic engagement, and empowering marginalized communities.
She holds an MA in Sustainable International Development and Nonprofit Management from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a Bachelor of political science from Cairo University.
