Alex Wong is Research Director at SilverLining and a Doctoral Fellow at the RAND Corporation. He was previously a program analyst at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) where in 2016 he led the first US federal research effort on solar climate intervention, funding the first global climate model simulation of controlled injections of aerosols in the stratosphere to cool climate, the Geoengineering Large Ensemble (GLENS) program at NCAR. The GLENS dataset is currently the most widely used resource for climate and climate impact studies of stratospheric aerosol injection. Alex previously performed on classified and unclassified projects for DARPA and other federal agencies.
